Community Homes

We believe that it is in the best interests of all children to grow up in a family environment. Where street kids are orphans we re-create, as closely as possible, a family home environment where a group of six to eight boys grow together in the care of specially trained live-in house parents. Our very first community home has just been formed a few minutes away from Tesfa Manoriya Bota. The six children, ranging in age from seven to twelve, are excited to have a new home and all know each other very well from their time in Tesfa Manoriya Bota. With the loving care of our house-parents we believe the boys will thrive. They will of course continue to have the support of our specialist staff team who will continue to monitor their progress. As we rescue more orphaned children in the coming months and years we expect to be needing to open more community homes similar to this one. All the boys head off to the same school each day and all are settling in very well and making the most of having this opportunity to receive a good education.
