Educating over 380 children every day.

Hope365 Academy is providing education and meals for over 380 pupils from some of the poorest and most vulnerable families in Shashemene. Included in the numbers are many of the Street Kids we have rescued from the streets. Alongside them are other boys and girls who have no way of accessing education and would otherwise be put to work or worse, thrown out onto the Streets to fend for themselves.

We are delighted that the school gives us the opportunity to help very vulnerable girls. Because they will now receive a nutritious meal each day they are more less likely to fall victims of unscrupulous men who prey on their need for food. For the first time, all these children can look to their future with real hope.

Meal Programme

Every day we provide each of our 380 pupils with a nutritious breakfast and lunch. This is a vital part of our school programme, as for many children this will be the only food they receive. When the Hope365 Academy first opened we provided lunch to our pupils, but we were burdened when children were fainting in class on a Monday morning, having had no food whatsoever over the weekend. Because of this we began to provide breakfast in addition to lunch.

Having full stomachs allows our pupils to focus on their classes and learn better. It also nourishes their bodies, helping them to grow and develop to their full potential.
